I actually like the region lock system, but I feel like it's incomplete. Posted: 07 Oct 2019 07:42 AM PDT It's pretty obvious that the point of the region lock system was to create a different kind of progression system, do something unique. And while unique doesn't necessarily mean better, I feel like there's potential in the systems in place here, they just have to be integrated together. The key, here, is Lore. As we know, learning 100% of the Lore for a kingdom gives you the location of artifacts for that kingdom across multiple regions. So make those regions the Territory of that Kingdom. When all the artifacts are collected for the entire Kingdom, have them give access to a (six star?) superdungeon in the region where the lore is most heavily concentrated. At the end, you get a special Artifact that allows you to use any equipment from Kingdom Territory in any region of the Kingdom. You can even have all the menus combine into one Kingdom menu. Next, Plus equipment. It's a great idea for this progression, and could tie in with the ideas above pretty well. First things first, there needs to be a way to give pluses to your equipment. I'd suggest adding a single, five-star Spirit Forge per Kingdom. When it's liberated, you gain access to a special forge that can add pluses to your equipment. Make the pluses very expensive, especially for higher level gear, but make it definitely obtainable with work. And then, the way that this all ties together, is Kingdom Gear Plus. Kingdom Gear Plus would allow you to use any equipment from an entire Kingdom in any adjacent Kingdoms, giving you access to your gear in a much wider area. Sure, eventually you'll leave that border, but by that point, after exploring all of those adjacent Kingdoms, you'll be able to make more equipment and keep the cycle going without that feeling of dropping back to zero. Exploration gear, I'm more conflicted on. Maybe add a way to create a Boat+ and Glider+ so that you don't abruptly lose them when crossing a border, or, just let you keep it until you put it away, mainly so that you can take your boat to the village in an ocean to get a new one. [Request] Staying at an inn should heal you up. Posted: 07 Oct 2019 07:34 AM PDT This is one of the few games I can think of where ataying at at inn does not refill your health. Another nice tweak would be Life Shrines actually giving you some life, maybe in return for paying a small tribute at already activated shrines? [link] [comments]
Anyone with like 50 artifacts already? Posted: 07 Oct 2019 07:09 AM PDT Heya, does any of you already have a nice collection of artifacts of like 30 plus? I am just wondering what the stats are and how does it scale, when having multiple artifacts. (I really want to get into it, to farm more and more, cause even if the stats they give are bad atm, I feel I could get somewhere if I actually get a bunch of them, but so far I only have been playing the alpha lol.) By the way, I'm not in the depression part of the stages of grief but actually acceptance because now I just feel free. I'll go play AoC apoc or something. [link] [comments]
Repeating region pattern on the world map Posted: 07 Oct 2019 03:19 AM PDT I am unsure if this has been brought up before, however while exploring the world map of the game to see if there were some interesting places to go to to start exploring, I discovered something else. The world map repeats itself. Now I already know that everyone plays on the same map seed and such, however if you take a look at your own world map, and simply take a good look at the location you are in and memorize the regions around you, you will see that they repeat if you simply scroll East-West on your world map. https://i.imgur.com/SxhXLC0.jpg North-South doesn't seem to repeat itself, however I haven't had the chance (time) to do a screen cap of the map in all directions, so the pattern might just be slightly offset in that direction. Posted: 07 Oct 2019 07:28 AM PDT My theory about how +gear skips the region lock is that each +gear has a range that goes from its region (in which the object was picked up) to about 5km (or 4km, or maybe 6km, not sure of the exact range, just estimated). Look at this ( https://imgur.com/a/n9zyKAy ) I think that the origin of the range is the center of the region. As many think, all neighboring regions can use the +gear. But if we look close, part of other regions (Odan Wetlands,Dark Thesen Woods and Garia Jungle ) that are not direct neighboring are inside the radius of ~5km so those full regions are too accepted as suitable for the +gear. PD: Yes, I tested and the +gear works in the regions in green. Check the imgur album EDIT: Seems like Galen ocean was not suitable for the gear so i fixed the image. [link] [comments]
For real what was wollay thinking with the new progression system Posted: 06 Oct 2019 08:52 PM PDT Sure in the alpha the beginning was slow but it's better than all gear being region locked and only being able to level from shitty artifacts the only reason I see for it is "because different" [link] [comments]
