    I made a few changes to the mod that makes the early game feel a bit less punishing and alleviates some of the performance hit in high enemy count areas. Changes include:

    • The hooks that control drop rates and shop items/crafting/leftovers have been disabled, this improves the performance without overhauling the hooking method at the moment. Enemies and equipment itself will still scale, but drop rates will be back to vanilla values and leftovers will turn into equipment of the same rarity of the leftover. Mileage may vary on how much this improves performance but it makes a castle filled with enemies that runs at 40-50 fps with the base mod run at 60-80 fps for me.
    • Pets have been made a bit stronger so they feel more meaningful early game.
    • Enemy mages have been further nerfed from 60% damage to 40% damage.
    • Artifact descriptions have been fixed to match what they really give, also the stat boost per relic has been increased.

    To install, just replace cubemod.dll or cubemod.cwmod. Use Aris's FreeImage.dll in the OP download link with the .dll or frognik's modloader with the .cwmod

    Note: I'm only posting this as its own post so more people see it. I don't want to take credit for what is still ultimately Aris's work which I'm grateful for. All I did is strip down a few things so that it will run better in the meantime and fix the artifact descriptions. Aris said on the CW discord that they are redoing how hooking is done and that should improve performance of the mod. So whenever a new version drops, this should be promptly deprecated.

    Edit: It's come to my attention that since this was compiled with VS 2019 it may or may not be compatible on Windows 7.     Cubegression Light, a light progression mod through artifacts

    Put the FreeImage.dll and cubemod.dll into your Cube World folder (where the .exe is). Click yes to overwrite and you're set. The cubemod folder is the source code. If the mod doesn't work, try downloading the Visual Studio C++ Redistributable from: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads and Visual Studio 2019 (make sure you check the development for desktop with C++ module) then restart your computer and run the game again.

    Credits to u/zatochu for correcting the names of the boosts and removing the other features. All I did was change each boost amount. Also big thanks to u/ArisHacksTV for coming out with his mod since this is just a stripped down and slightly altered version of it. And big thanks to Geo for his work on the cheat table.

    Modified the mod here to only include artifacts boosting combat stats. No leveling and no removing of the region lock. Each artifact now gives one of these boosts:

    • Health boost is +10hp
    • Armor boost is +1
    • Damage boost is +1
    • Haste boost is +0.075
    • Regen boost is +0.1
    • Crit boost is +0.075
    • Resistance boost is +1

    I find that these numbers work pretty well. I view each region as having around 3 stages. First stage is starting out with nothing. Then you get into 2-3 star gear. Then the last stage is getting to 5 star everything. Around level 35 or so, you start to notice the start of each region getting easier. But the second and third stage aren't as affected. Each stage slowly gets easier and if you want to really be OP, it would take a few hundred levels which is a good amount of gameplay.

    The artifacts still boost lamp radius, sailing speed, etc but that's just not shown. So each artifact boosts a combat stat and one of the original movement boost as well. Here is what boosts go together:

    • Health, Climbing
    • Armor, Swimming
    • Damage, Diving
    • Haste, Riding
    • Regen, Gliding
    • Crit, Sailing
    • Resistance, Lamp radius

    EDIT: For those wanting to modify the boost amount for each stat, download the source files. Then open the cubemod folder in Visual Studios 2017 or later using the open>open folder option. The boost amount is at the bottom of game_structures.h. Then you can ctrl+shift+B to compile and you'll find the cubemod.dll in the cubemod/bin folder. Just copy that over to your cubeworld.exe folder and overwrite the previous cubemod.dll file. Nothing extra needed for FreeImage.dll, that can just stay the same.

    Way back in the olden days of 2012-2013, a friend and I used our money from mowing grasses to go halfsies on cube world. Neither of us can remember any of the login info. Is there no way I can access the Alpha now? Please help, the full release is a dumpster fire and I want to go back to having fun.

    Why make a completely different game?

    They have no similarities. He deleted his good game then gave us crappier Trove.

    Is the login page down?

    Title is self-explanatory. According to the FAQ, I need to log in at picroma.com/account/login to get my Steam key (since I'm 99% sure I paid for and played this game back when it was in alpha), but right now, it just seems to bring up a blank screen no matter what device/browser I use. I guess I could always just wait and try again later, but I can't tell if I'm doing something wrong.

    So I just found out today that Cube World had finally been updated and brought to Steam. I know I am over a month late and the beta is already over, I've been busy with college shit (I was in elementary school when this game was last relevant). I just tried to go over to the website to redeem my steam key when I realized that the login page is down. Will this be temporary or will I have to go and pay the game again?

    I've had some skill ideas in mind for every class, which in no way should they fit into the game or make any sense, or will they ever be added. I'm making this for fun because I felt like sharing.

    Ranger - Crossbow/Bow: Arrow volley

    -Shoot a volley of arrows downwards on your enemy

    Ranger - Boomerang: Tornado

    -Spin around really fast using both your boomerangs, causing a literal wind tornado that you can unleash forward.

    Rogue - Daggers/Fists: Clone Rush

    -Unleash multiple clones of yourself on the enemy, rapidly attacking them and dealing damage

    Rogue - Longsword: Clone Charge

    -Two clones appear on both your sides as you charge forward and deal a lunge attack. basically a regular lunge attack but 3x damage

    Mage - Water: Bubble Trap

    -Release a giant bubble that can capture any enemy. If the enemy comes in contact with the bubble, they'll begin to float upwards without being able to move or deal any damage. the bubble eventually pops, dealing high damage. If the bubble is dealt damage before it successfully traps its enemy, it will pop and the trap will fail.

    Mage - Fire: Flamethrower

    -Flamethrower.

    Warrior - Dual Swords/Dual handed: Metal Uppercut

    -Use your ever-so-convenient metal fist to uppercut your enemies into the air.

    Warrior - Shield and Sword: Shield Charge

    -Ever played reinhardt in overwatch? you know how he can basically charge forward and sweep up anyone on his way? Yeah. this is that.

    New to Cubeworld, need some help

    So, as the title states, Im new to cube world. It seems like a pretty big game, and it doesnt exactly give that many indicators on goals or how much of anything works. If anyone has tips for beginners, any of them would be highly appreciated, thanks -^
