Cube World Hosting a server (Steam version) |
Hosting a server (Steam version) Posted: 08 Feb 2021 07:31 PM PST So I've read around the sub that it is impossible to host a server locally via steam, unless someone codes a mod that allows it. Are there any rumours or news about something like that being made? Its just horrible to play on the steam version, since the desync is just unbearable, even when playing singleplayer. (Also why in the hell would singleplayer be online? That's probably the dumbest design decision ever made.) I also read something about being able to host a server with a Steam API emulator, but that sounds pretty complicated, has anyone tried that yet? If all the answers to these questions are no, I'll ask one more, is it worth to play Beta or Alpha version (with some mods maybe)? Me and a bunch of friends picked up the game after some years, and we are just constantly hitting walls, first the weird-ass progression system which makes the game unenjoyable (mostly fixed by mods), and then the horrible conectivity and desync problems.
