Boy this is gonna be long. Note that I'm not giving any opinion, this is straight up facts here, react however you want but be cool with eachothers please. Suggestions from someone who likes the Beta, and remembers the Alpha. Posted: 02 Oct 2019 06:14 AM PDT I played over 500 hours of the Alpha and since I have had access to the beta, I have played it over 50 hours. I like both versions, and I have spent many days deciding on how to find a common ground. New Characters can pick their specialization at creation. Wise Old Traveller an NPC that appears near player spawn, that explains to kill white mobs, get coins, and buy starting gear at your home town. Region Warning Signs When entering a new region a message appears "Warning you are entering dangerous territory! The Corrupted Mana in the air will prevent you from using gear or special items! Proceed with caution and collect these a new, or find some rare Kingdom+ Gear in your current region. (Option to disable) Artifacts keep majority of artifacts giving "exploration stat bonuses" but add Historical Artifacts below. Historical Artifacts Legendary+ Dungeons that are rare to find (1 every region) that all mobs are legendary difficulty. Artifacts from these dungeons give 1 point to a random combat stat. Having these rare keep stat inflation at a lower level. Doesn't have to be brand new dungeons, can be same current dungeons, just with a difficulty boost, requiring people in full legendary equipment. For the future -Each Level gained gives you 1 spirit cube of your choice to customize your weapons. These can be applied to as many weapons as you want. They do not need to be removed from weapons. What the fuck went wrong with world generation? Posted: 02 Oct 2019 05:23 AM PDT I remember that the world generation on alpha felt much more natural and much better fleshed out. Now everything feels very empty and most points of interest look completely unnatural and out of place. Lakes are just round masses of water, compared to the natural lakes with islands of alpha. Landmasses on oceans now are just round platforms that contain whatever structure they are supposed to contain, instead of the incredibly good looking island structures and natural archipielagos from alpha. For some reason some POI are surrounded by huge, artificial-looking ravines. Stone pillars used to look very organic (had protusions and natural ledges) and very well inserted into the terrain, now they are huge cilinders in the middle of nowhere. Im sure theres more instances of this problem happening, but this are the only ones that came to mind right now, so feel free to write more examples in the thread.
